Nicole began her career at Ochsner Health as a Clinical Pharmacy specialist in ambulatory care managing a pharmacist-run clinic for treatment of hypertension, cholesterol, and diabetes patients. From there, she transitioned to clinical practice in acute care medicine and later transitions of care. In 2016, Nicole moved into the assistant director role over Medication-Use, Safety and Education and transitioned to system director in January of 2021. Nicole leads the formulary management and medication utilization initiatives ensuring improvement of medication use quality across the organization. She is also the residency program director for the Ochsner Health PGY-1/2 Medication Use Safety and Policy residency program. Additionally, she serves as an ASHP Residency Program Practitioner Surveyor for MUSP residency programs and on the Vizient Professional Development and Workforce Committee.

Additionally, she takes pride in opening the lines of communication between everyone involved in the patient's care in order to improve our patients' outcomes. Spencer joined Ochsner in 2019 after completing a 2-year Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency at Wake Forest Baptist Health. His first-year research project, “Implementation of a project management tool for drug shortage management in a large academic medical center,” centered on an institutional need for improved processes around managing drug shortages. Being operationally focused, he completed his second-year research project and Master's Thesis around the standardization and optimization of Anesthesia Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs). He received a Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences with an emphasis in Pharmacy Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill in 2019, as well as Board Certification as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist. His professional interests include: clinical pharmacy management, leadership development, pharmacoeconomics, and inpatient operations.
Spencer’s current responsibilities include management of daily operations within central pharmacy with a focus on automation, controlled substances and inventory management. He also is responsible for clinical pharmacy services within the emergency department and perioperative space, along with the management of Ochsner’s Skilled Nursing Facility, Elmwood Orthopedic Hospital and Covington Surgery Center.

As the System Director of the Ochsner Outpatient and Home Infusion Pharmacy, Gena has responsibility for all aspects of both clinical and operational components of the pharmacy and nursing departments of the business unit. Gena joined Ochsner in March of 2019 with 25 years of combined Specialty and Home Infusion experience. She led the start-up of Ochsner first Home Infusion facility. The 17,000 sq ft state of the art facility includes a USP 795, 797 and 800 sterile compounding complex. It also included a non-provider based infusion suite with 8 private rooms and a PICC/Midline placement room. This business unit is continuing to expand throughout Louisiana under her leadership.

Phillip provides oversight of system change management processes as the chair of the Change Management Advisory Committee. He is also responsible for pharmacy communication, education, and training for the system. Additionally, Phillip is responsible for working directly with the MUSE director to manage the educational training programs for both pharmacy students and pharmacy residents as well as overall pharmacy workforce development.

Nicole began her career at Ochsner Health as a Clinical Pharmacy specialist in ambulatory care managing a pharmacist-run clinic for treatment of hypertension, cholesterol, and diabetes patients. From there, she transitioned to clinical practice in acute care medicine and later transitions of care. In 2016, Nicole moved into the assistant director role over Medication-Use, Safety and Education and transitioned to system director in January of 2021. Nicole leads the formulary management and medication utilization initiatives ensuring improvement of medication use quality across the organization. She is also the residency program director for the Ochsner Health PGY-1/2 Medication Use Safety and Policy residency program. Additionally, she serves as an ASHP Residency Program Practitioner Surveyor for MUSP residency programs and on the Vizient Professional Development and Workforce Committee.

Johlee S. Odinet, PharmD, BCPS is currently the Medication Safety Manager at Ochsner Medical Center. In this role, she oversees implementation of process improvements within the medication use process to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Job responsibilities also include incorporating ISMP medication safety best practices, error analysis, prospective risk mitigation, and regulatory/compliance efforts. She also supervises the pharmacy intern program at OMC, engaging learners in patient safety initiatives whenever possible. Johlee serves as the Program Coordinator for the PGY-2 Medication Use, Safety, and Policy residency program, is the newest Director at Large for LSHP, and has had the pleasure of serving on ASHP's Medication Safety Section Advisory Group for the past 4 years.

Jenna Sewell is a drug information specialist in the current role of System Policy Pharmacist. In this role, Jenna is responsible for using knowledge of medication safety, the medication use process, clinical pharmacy, and local and federal law in the management of system pharmacy policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational standards, including collaboration with all relevant stakeholders. She is also involved with providing system guidance on the development of SOPs for Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies (REMS) medications. Additionally, Jenna collaborates with pharmacy supply chain, pharmacy operations teams, clinical teams, and other MUSE team members to provide system support and education on drug shortage mitigation strategies.

Dr. St. Cyr began her career as a community pharmacist and originally was an Ochsner team member from 1991 to 1996. She left to work as a long-term care and retail pharmacist before returning to Ochsner in 2008 in the chemotherapy infusion pharmacy. Dr. St. Cyr has been an operational pharmacist for the past 13 years and moved up to supervisor in 2018. She is a preceptor for pharmacy students as well as PGY-1 and PGY-2 pharmacy residents rotating in the chemotherapy infusion pharmacy. Additionally, she is the trainer for chemotherapy operations for the Benson Cancer Center. Dr. Chen joined the Ochsner Specialty Pharmacy team in 2021. She is a clinical pharmacist supervisor for the team that manages the GI/Derm & hyperlipidemia patients. She has experience from her residency working with a variety of specialty pharmacy disease states, with many of them being inflammatory conditions. She has also worked on projects related to health outcomes for specialty patients and increasing medication access. Dr. Chen is committed to utilizing her skills as pharmacist to provide quality patient care and increase access to specialty medications for patients regardless of their socioeconomic status to manage their chronic medical conditions.
