Program Length: 12 months
The ASHP-accredited Ochsner Health Pharmacy residency programs are an intense 12- 24 month program designed to develop clinical practice skills by providing exposure to a clinical environment that offers training in a variety of Pharmacy practice areas. The resident will become proficient in a broad range of services structured to develop their individual strengths and advance the growth of their clinical judgment. The various programs allow for sufficient flexibility to adapt to the needs and interests of the individual resident, while providing the basic foundation to develop the professional skills essential for a practicing clinical pharmacist.
Program Length: 15 months
Launch your pharmacy career with Ochsner Health's new pharmacy technician training program. This apprenticeship is a 15-month paid training program in which participants will be fully licensed as Ochsner pharmacy technicians.
What does a pharmacy technician do? Typical duties include organizing medications for pharmacists to dispense, preparing labels, calculating quantities, assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies and maintaining records.
