Biography
Dr. Azer earned his medical doctorate from Alexandria University, School of Medicine in Egypt. He completed a residency in anesthesiology at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida. He completed a regional anesthesia/acute interventional pain fellowship in addition to a chronic pain medicine fellowship at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Azer had extensive research experienced at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, publishing many studies on neuromodulation efficacy on chronic pain.
Dr. Azer is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of his patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. He has been practicing at Ochsner since 2023. Outside of medicine, he enjoys cycling, swimming, spending time with family and friends and cooking.
