Biography

Dr. Guarisco specializes in pediatric otolaryngology at Ochsner Health. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans and earned his medical degree in 1979 from Tulane University School of Medicine. In 1982, he completed his residency in Pediatrics at Tulane University School of Medicine, and, in 1986, he completed an Otolaryngology residency at the same institution. Dr. Guarisco is certified by both the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Otolaryngology. He has been on staff at Ochsner since 1987. Dr. Guarisco's special medical interests are evaluating and treating pediatric patients with chronic ear problems, disorders of the tonsils and adenoids, breathing and airway problems and masses and birth abnormalities of the face and neck. In his spare time he enjoys being a devoted husband and father of four children. He serves a leadership role in several civic associations and enjoys coaching little league sports.
