Dr. Kathryn Oubre specializes in pediatrics at Ochsner Health. Dr. Oubre graduated from Louisiana State University summa cum laude in 2001, with a bachelor's degree in microbiology and a minor in psychology. She graduated from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, in 2005. She completed a Pediatrics Residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, in 2008. Dr. Oubre joined the United States Air Force in 2001, after being inspired by 9/11, and she worked as a pediatrician for the USAF at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi, from 2008 to 2011. She has worked in general pediatrics for the past 15 years and joined the Ochsner Northshore pediatrics team full time in 2014. She met her husband Dr. John Oubre in medical school at LSU. They have been married for almost 20 years and have three children. Her husband works in primary care in Covington, Louisiana. Dr. Oubre enjoys taking care of the medical needs of our Northshore children and watching them grow into healthy, happy, adults!
