Kevin Scharwath, NP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner who provides primary care and internal medicine to adults at the Ochsner Center for Primary Care and Wellness. With over seven years of experience, Kevin is committed to delivering care that is both compassionate and evidence-based.

Kevin earned his Master of Science in nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2018. He is an HIV prevention certified provider. Kevin has a strong clinical interest in sexual health and a genuine passion for advancing HIV prevention. He is dedicated to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where patients can access the care, education and support they need to lead healthy, empowered lives.

At the heart of his practice is a simple but essential belief: every person is unique and deserves care that reflects their individual needs. Through open communication and shared decision-making, Kevin works to ensure his patients feel truly seen, heard, and supported.
Outside of the clinic, Kevin enjoys gardening, experimenting in the kitchen, traveling and spending weekends playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends.
