Ochsner Healthy Schools Program

The mission of the Ochsner Healthy Schools Program is to improve access to high-quality healthcare in K-12 schools while fostering healthy and supportive school communities. Through our school nurse program, preventative health screenings, professional development, and pediatric wellness education, we are here to help children reach their full potential.

The goal of Healthy Schools is to support children’s physical and emotional well-being in a school-based setting, while also extending valuable guidance to educators and school leaders. By providing proactive prevention and wellness, the Healthy Schools Program is increasing instructional time for students while reducing health disparities and advancing health equity.
