M. Tyson Garon, MD is an orthopedic hand surgeon at Ochsner Health, treating patients in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with expertise in microvascular surgery and disorders of the hand and wrist. He earned his medical degree and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, where he was a three-time recipient of the Orthopaedic In-Training Examination (OITE) High Score Award. During his residency, he also received the James Albright Research Award, the Award for Outstanding Resident, and the International Pediatric Orthopaedic Symposium Scholarship. Additionally, he was selected to attend the American Orthopaedic Association Leadership Forum.

Dr. Garon completed a fellowship in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery at The Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center in Indianapolis. He is board-certified in orthopedic hand and microvascular surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Actively involved in research, Dr. Garon has contributed to multiple publications, including journal articles, reviews and book chapters.
